Cape Breton Highlands 3 Peaks Challenge

Ten teams participated in the 1st Cape Breton Highlands 3 Peaks Challenge on July 17th, 2010. All teams finished under the 12 hr. challenge. Congratulations to all the teams.  You should be very proud of your achievement. This new event involved teams of four hikers, each hiking three peaks - Franey, Sugar Loaf and Acadien. All three peaks average between 1400-1500 feet in elevation and approximately 21 kms. The event began at 7:00 am. in Ingonish and finish by 7:00 pm. in Cheticamp. This event was hosted and organized by the Hike the Highlands Festival with assistance from the Cape Breton Highlands National Park. Thanks to all the teams and partners for their support with this event, and for taking time to provide comments on evaluation of the event and suggestions for 2011.
